Employer's Role in the Performance Review Process
The Co-op Program and Faculty oversee the Performance Review Process with the employer for each student on a co-op work term. The process of evaluating a co-op student's performance will determine the student's Pass/Fail grade at the end of their work term. As a supervisor, you contribute to the student's final grade by providing feedback on his/her progress at key points. The steps of this process and your involvement are listed below.
Please note that it is the student's responsibility to coordinate and follow up with his/her supervisor to ensure the completion of each of the steps listed below by the deadlines.
It is anticipated that Learning Agreements, Work Term Reports and Supervisor Evaluations will be used in the post work term course.

| Last Term Call | Co-op student & Supervisor | This is a brief telephone call during between the Co-op Coordinator, student and supervisor, to discuss the student's performance and the supervisor’s satisfaction as well as to identify the student’s major lessons and strategies for building on that learning upon returning to campus. | Calls conducted by the Co-op Program during the last 2 weeks of co-op work term |
| Work Term Report | Co-op student | This is a short (5 page) summary prepared by the co-op student about the work performed during their co-op work term and a discussion of his/her learning and accomplishments, which reflects on the Learning Agreement.
